Kerrie has been an artist at heart since age five. She incorporates all types of art mediums in her work. At just 19, Kerrie began teaching art lessons and selling her work. Her passion and talent led to the publication of an instructional painting book and pattern kits distributed nationwide by a large retailer. Her hand-painted pieces were featured in tourist shops across the Western United States. She has won multiple awards for her original artwork.
Kerrie has a desire to spark a love for art in others. She believes art has the power to transport viewers to meaningful places, connecting them with memories, people, and pets. And as the artist, she says the creative process is about letting go of outside distractions and finding joy in the moment of touching paint to the canvas.
Art is for everyone—and it’s good for the soul.
It's rare to see Kerrie without a sketchbook nearby. "Inspiration can be found everywhere I go," she says. In love with the outdoors, Utah provides endless creations for her canvas.

Kerrie loves to travel, taking art classes, learning new skills, finding inspiration, and a spark of new ideas wherever she lands. She finds the rich variety of cultures, vibrant colors, textures, and the varied shades of the ocean all influence her artistic spirit.
Home is where her heart is, with 5 kids and 12 grandies surrounding her. They have fueled her love of drawing portraits, capturing a moment in time with loved ones, as well as house and pet portraits, keeping memories alive.

Kerrie’s love for children, guided by her compassion, inspires her to lift others where she can. Kerrie’s love for children, guided by her compassion, inspires her to lift others where she can. Through her volunteer work she’s come to understand that while nothing can fill the void left by the loss of a child, she can offer a small measure of solace in her own way. This realization has led her to paint portraits of children who have left us too soon— a gift of remembrance donated freely, in hopes that a familiar smile, lovingly captured in art, might spark a sweet memory and bring quiet comfort to those who grieve.
If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a child and would find comfort in receiving a memorial portrait, please reach out to Kerrie through this website or by email (kerriesandersart@yahoo.com). She will respond personally to begin the process of creating this heartfelt gift.
