Kerrie has been an artist at heart since childhood—she remembers standing at her easel at age 5, painting the mountains just outside her window. Over time, she has explored all types of art mediums, believing that the subject itself should guide the choice of materials.

At just 19, Kerrie began teaching group art lessons and selling her work. Her passion and talent led to the publication of a how-to painting book, along with pattern kits distributed nationwide by a major craft retailer. Her original hand-painted pieces were also featured in tourist shops across the Western United States.  She has won multiple awards for her original artwork.

While raising a busy family of 5 kids, Kerrie remained dedicated to teaching workshops and taking classes to improve her skills. She has a deep desire to spark a love for art in others. Kerrie believes art has the power to transport viewers to meaningful places, reconnect them with memories, people, and pets.   And as the artist, she says the creative process is about letting go of outside distractions and finding joy in the moment of touching paint to the canvas.

Art is for everyone—and it’s good for the soul.

It's rare to see Kerrie without a sketchbook nearby. "Inspiration can be found everywhere I am," she says. Deeply in love with the outdoors, she takes countless reference photos to use in future paintings. Whether it's birds in the sky, snow-capped mountains, red rocks and cliffs, or wildflowers scattered across the landscape, Utah provides the perfect and endless creations for her canvas.

Kerrie also loves to travel the world, taking art classes to learn new skills and finding inspiration and a spark of new ideas wherever she lands. She has been to many countries and finds the rich variety of cultures, vibrant colors, mosaic patterns, floral designs, textures, and the varied shades of the ocean all influence her artistic spirit.

However, home is where her heart is with 5 kids, and 12 grandies surrounding her.  They have inspired her love of drawing portraits, capturing a moment in time with loved ones, as well as house and pet portraits keeping memories close.
